Pacific Agri-Enviro Consultants partnered with the FAO to enhance indigenous chicken breeds, focusing on value chain development in animal breeding and nutrition in the Pacific. We have also developed comprehensive guidelines on animal nutrition, housing, and climate-smart livestock production tailored for the Pacific region.
Our team conducted an in-depth review of the Asian Chicken Genetic Gain project, aimed at improving chicken genetics in Southeast Asia (Cambodia, Myanmar, and Vietnam). Our insights helped refine the project’s strategies to achieve better outcomes in poultry production. The learnings have also been drawn to design a similar project for the Pacific region.
We supported the National University of Samoa in the accreditation of their Certificate IV in Agriculture and Diploma in Sustainable Agriculture programmes. This exercise was critical in ensuring the programs met international standards and effectively prepared students for careers in sustainable agriculture.
Pacific Agri-Enviro Consultants delivered specialized training in piggery management for the Animal Production and Health Department. The training was designed to improve best practices in piggery management, enhancing animal health and production efficiency across Samoa.
