Associate Professor Siaka Diarra brings over 30 years of extensive academic and research experience in animal science, agriculture, and environmental sustainability to his role as Director of Pacific Agri-Enviro Consultants. His expertise spans animal nutrition, feed formulation, sustainable livestock production, exploring alternative feed resources, and promoting animal welfare practices.
Professional Experience: Currently an Associate Professor at the University of the South Pacific Fiji, Diarra has held leadership roles such as serving as the Editor of the Journal of South Pacific Agriculture from 2013 to 2016, Acting Head of School of Agriculture and Food Technology 2019 - 2020. Prior to joining USP in 2012, he was a faculty member at the University of Maiduguri in Nigeria.
His diverse background includes supervising graduate students, publishing extensively in peer-reviewed journals, and consulting on projects related to animal science, agribusiness, and environmental conservation across Africa and the Pacific region.
